Dr. Dre Reveals He Made 247 Songs During The Pandemic; Currently Working On New Snoop Dogg Album

Dr. Dre made around 250 records in the last two years.

The fans are eagerly waiting for a new studio album from Dr. Dre, and we could hear something from the legendary producer real soon. According to the Aftermath mogul himself, he had made around 250 tracks in the last couple of year during the COVID-19 pandemic. Speaking to Busta Rhymes, the producer reveals that he is currently working on a new Snoop Dogg album.

“I did 247 songs during the pandemic, then we paused, did a whole album with Marsha Ambrosius… that’s f**king nutso, that’s crazy,” he said. “Then we came back… what did we do after that? Oh, I did the Grand Theft Auto sh*t and then we working on my ni**a Snoop. We two days in right now, we got, what, six bangers done? So, I don’t know. I wanna finish this sh*t and then start Busta Rhymes.”

Busta Rhymes seems to be quite enthusiastic about whatever he and Dre would be collaborating on next. In 2001, the two worked together for the first time on Busta’s Genius album. Busta’s “Don’t Get Carried Away” starring Nas, “Legend Of The Falls Offs,” and “Break Ya Neck” are just a few of the numerous projects the two musicians have worked on together since then.

Since last year, the rumours about a new album from Dre are at their peak, as he teased a project several times. There were also speculations that the album will arrive around the Super Bowl halftime show time, but again the fans left disappointed.

Just recently, Snoop Dogg accidentally shares a track list of the long-awaited “Detox” album from the good doctor. Some of the tracks from the Detox tracklist were featured in the GTA album, while Other records are titled “Bussa Move”, “Guilty”, “Californication”, “Propane”, “Tribe Called West”, and “Morning Glory”.

The number of Dr. Dre tracks, albums, and projects currently stored in the vault is unknown. He has repeatedly postponed his eagerly anticipated fourth album, Detox, for the previous 20 years because he is a perfectionist. He hasn’t said when, or even if, Detox will be released any time soon, but he has said that he’s been working very hard for the past two years.
