Silk Sonic Wins Grammys For Song Of The Year & Best R&B Song

Silk Sonic, the duo of singer Bruno Mars and rapper/singer Anderson .Paak takes home three Grammys for their collaboration “Leave The Door Open”. The 64th annual Grammy Awards is currently taking place MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas after a delay of around two months. The song was awarded is awarded Record of the year, where it beats the likes of Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber, Olivia Rodrigo and more.

Anderson. Paak joked about trying to stay modest after “sweeping” his categories, and Mars smoked a cigarette casually during their victory speech. “We are really trying our hardest to remain humble at this point, ok? But in the industry, we call that a clean sweep,” a full-ham. Paak shone as he accepted the medal, remarking that the group had won in every category in which they were nominated. The duo’s debut hit was “Leave The Door Open.”

Leave The Door Open” was the debut single by Silk Sonic, and was released on March 5th, 2021 through Aftermath Entertainment and Atlantic Records. The Commercially successful single topped the US Billboard 100. The song appeared on the debut album “An Evening with Silk Sonic“, which was released on November 12, 2021. The album debuted at #2 on Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 104,000 equivalent units.

The track also won a trophy in Best R&B Song Category, as it triumphs over H.E.R’s “Damage”, SZA’s “Good Days”, Giveon’s “Heartbreak Anniversary”, and Jazmine Sullivan’s “Pick Up Your Feelings”.
