Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak drops a new song “Leave The Door Open”.

Last week, Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak made a surprise announcement that they are teaming up for a joint album called ‘Silk Sonic‘ and today they dropped the first single off it. The duo drops the track called “Leave The Door Open” along with an official visual which is directed by Florent Dechard and Bruno Mars himself.

“Leave the Door Open” received 27,000 downloads, 23.5 million streaming, and 23.5 million radio impressions, debuting at four on the US Billboard Hot 100. At the time, it was Mars and Paak’s highest-ever Billboard Hot 100 debut.

Mars and .Paak played “Leave the Door Open” during the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards to promote the song, which drew acclaim for its simplicity and was compared to a Soul Train show from the 1970s. They also sang it at the BET Awards 2021 and the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2021. It got multiple nominations and accolades, including Song of the Year at the 2021 Soul Train Music Awards, as well as Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance (tied with Jazmine Sullivan’s “Pick Up Your Feelings” (2020)) and Best R&B Song at the 2022 Grammy Awards.

The song was nominated for and won multiple prizes, including Song of the Year at the 2021 Soul Train Music Awards, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance, and Best R&B Song at the 2022 Grammy Awards.

The duo have received the Record of the Year award for their song “Leave the Door Open.” They outperformed ABBA, Olivia Rodrigo, Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, and SZA, as well as Jon Batiste. Billie Eilish, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, Brandi Carlile, and Lil Nas X are among the performers.

The pair released their first album An Evening with Silk Sonic in November, following their live debut at the 2021 Grammys in March. At the Grammys, “Leave the Door Open” also won Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance, and Best R&B Song.
