Royce Da 5’9″ picks the greatest verses of all time, features Eminem, Redman, 50 Cent, and more.
Ryan Daniel Montgomery, better known as Royce Da 5’9″ is one of the top lyricists in Rap Music right now, for which he was acknowledged by The Grammy as his most recent album “The Allegory” was nominated at this year’s event. The Detroit Rapper who’s very active on the social media platform Instagram decided to show love for some of the rap verses, which he considers greatest of all time. “Tonight …. I’ll be posting some of the greatest verses of all time… In my opinion…All of these changed my life in some shape form or fashion… Gimmie some@of your favs in the comments,” wrote Royce da 5’9″.
In over 5 posts, Nickle shared several classic verses from the likes of 50 Cent, Redman, and many more, including his fellow rapper Eminem. The list includes 50 Cent’s first verse on “Heat“, which appeared on his record-breaking 2003 album “Get Rich or Die Tryin.” Lil Kim’s first verse of “Queen B*h“, off the album “H**d C**e” from 1996. Redman’s Verse on Tupac’s “Got My Mind Made Up“, Big Pun’s opening verse on “The Dream Shatter“, Andre 3000’s first verse of “Return of the G“, The Notorious BIG’s first verse on “My Downfall“, Beanie Sigel verse on Diddy’s “Journey Through the Life“, Kurupt verse on The Dogg Pound “New York New York” and several more.
The list also includes Royce’s “Bad Meets Evil” Partner Eminem’s second verse on the “Infinite“, the title track of his debut album which dropped in 1996. He ends the list with Jay-Z’s freestyle of The Clipse’s “G**nding” instrumental, and called it, “h***est unexpected sh*t that hip-hop has ever heard.”
