Rihanna Says She's Nervous But Excited For Super Bowl Halftime Performance

Rihanna speaks for the first time about the Super Bowl announcement.

Just recently, it was announced that Rihanna will headline next year’s Super Bowl halftime show and the fans are excited about Riri’s long-awaited return. In a short interaction with TMZ, Rihanna share some thoughts about her highly anticipated performance. “I’m nervous, but I’m excited,” she said while leaving Bristol Farms in West Hollywood on Tuesday. The singer said, when questioned about if her lover A$AP Rocky may make an appearance as a special cameo, “Maybe, girl.”

Rihanna now follows up this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, which was headlined by Hip-Hop greats Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar and 50 Cent.

There are also chances of getting some new music from Rihanna ahead of the Super Bowl halftime show performance, which is a few months from now. It’s been six years since we last got a solo studio album from Rihanna, as she released her eighth studio effort “Anti” in 2016.

“Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn,” said JAY-Z in a statement released by Roc Nation. “A person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment.”

Head of Music for the NFL, Seth Dudowsky, expressed his “thrill” at having Rihanna perform at the Halftime Show. “Rihanna is a once-in-a-generation artist who has been a cultural force throughout her career,” he said. “We look forward to collaborating with Rihanna, Roc Nation, and Apple Music to bring fans another historic Halftime Show performance.”
