Morgan Wallen Wants To Work With Kendrick Lamar Would Be Pretty Cool

Morgan Wallen is interested in Collabs with Moneybagg Yo and Kendrick Lamar.

Morgan Wallen recently teamed up with hitmaker Lil Durk for a new song called “Broadway Girls“, which ended up topping the Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The Country Singer who previously faced backlash for using the racial slur now wants to do more rap collaborations. The Tennessee native now links up with Comedian Druski on Clubhouse, where he revealed the artists he would love to work with.

“I do love Moneybagg [Yo],” Wallen said. “He’s definitely at the top of the list. But like overall, ever…I’m trying to think of not just in the past little bit. Kendrick Lamar would be pretty cool.”

“Honestly, my top stuff on Spotify was all hip-hop,” he said. “Moneybagg is probably my favourite. And I listened to a lot of Young Dolph — RIP. I listened to Drake’s new album. I listen to Kanye. I’ve been listening to a little bit of Gunna. I like him pretty good.”

Morgan Wallen also shared details of how his recent collab with Lil Durk happened. “That song kind of came about over this summer, and I was really, really, really pumped on it,” Wallen said. “Durk commented on my Instagram… So I hit him up. Me and him had been talking a little bit throughout the year and kind of developed a friendship. I was like, ‘I don’t know if you’re serious (about collaborating) or not, but here’s a couple of versions.’ And he took the song… I said, ‘I’m not gonna put out an album for a while. If you just want to throw this on yours, go ahead.’ So he did and I’m super pumped about it.”

With the release of “Broadway Girls” with Lil Durk, Wallen, who stated in a Good Morning America interview earlier this year that he did not mean to use the n-word in a pejorative manner, stunned fans and critics alike. The song is presently No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs list and No. 14 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

Morgan Wallen topped the list of best selling albums of 2021 with his latest project “Dangerous: The Double Album”.

Meanwhile, we’re still waiting for Kendrick Lamar’s new music, as he announced that he’s working on his final TDE album, and it is expected to come out soon. Next month, Kendrick Lamar will join Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Mary J. Blige for a performance at the NFL Super Bowl Halftime Show.
