Kendrick Lamar is making his final TDE album.

Kendrick Lamar had been away from the music scene, as well as social media for over a year, but now he breaks silence and revealed that he’s making his return with a new album. Fans have been waiting on a new K. dot album since 2017 when he dropped “DAMN.” and now he provides some new updates regarding an album. Taking to his social media, he shared a link to a website oklama.com, which takes you to a folder with a note.

Lamar also discussed how he spends his time, which includes writing, listening, and “collecting vintage Beach cruisers.” adding that, “The morning rides keep me on a hill of silence.” He didn’t offer any hard details about his next album, but said, “Love, loss, and grief have disturbed my comfort zone, but the glimmers of God speak through my music and family. While the world around me evolves, I reflect on what matters the most. The life in which my words will land next.

He’s announced that he’ll be producing his final album for Top Dawg Entertainment, which has published everything from his early mixtapes to his mainstream breakthrough, good kid, m.A.A.d city, to his most recent album, DAMN. “I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural impact after 17 years,” Kendrick says, “I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years. The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood.

I spend most of my days with fleeting thoughts. Writing. Listening. And collecting old Beach cruisers. The morning rides keep me on a hill of silence.
I go months without a phone.
Love, loss, and grief have disturbed my comfort zone, but the glimmers of God speak through my music and family.
While the world around me evolves, I reflect on what matters the most. The life in which my words will land next.
As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years. The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood. May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling.
There’s beauty in completion. And always faith in the unknown.
Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts. I’ve prayed for you all.
See you soon enough,
wrote Kendrick Lamar with okLama at the end, which probably is some kind of alter ego he’s making his return with. The folder also has a picture of Kendrick in the studio.

The note has everyone wondering if he will retire from music with the album or go independent or some other label. Check out the post below and wait for more updates to unfold.

“With this being Dot’s last album on TDE, this is more of a VICTORY LAP, a celebration,” Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, CEO and founder of Top Dawg Entertainment, tweeted in response to Lamar’s statement. I know he will be successful in whatever it is he decides to do and will have our FULL support.”

Kendrick Lamar won the Pulitzer Prize for Music for his last studio album, Damn., released in 2017. Since releasing the album, Lamar has overseen and assisted to the Black Panther soundtrack, as well as co-founding pgLang with Dave Free.
