Kanye West Hosted DONDA 2 Listening Party Feat. Drake, Travis Scott, Future & More

Kanye West link up with Drake, Travis Scott ahead of the “DONDA 2” release.

The release of Kanye West’s upcoming album “DONDA 2” is nearing as it will hit the streaming services on 2nd February. While there are speculations that it will be delayed like his previous project, Kanye West’s recent moves hint at a possible release on the given day.

Unlike his last year’s concert-like listening parties, Ye hosted a private session in LA, which had a list of star-studded guests. The rapper was pictured with the likes of Drake, Travis Scott, Baby and more in LA last night. Drizzy’s presence at the listening party could also mean that the rapper is one of the guest features on the project.

Kanye West previously had studio sessions with The Game, ASAP Rocky, Pusha T, Big Sean, Fivio Foreign, Hit-Boy, as well as album’s executive producer Future. Just the other day, Ye also featured on Pusha T’s comeback single “Diet Coke“, as a producer and a cameo in the music video.

So far, the most detailed information about Donda 2 has come from producer Digital Nas, who claimed in a recent interview with Rolling Stone that Kanye wants the album to be the soundtrack to life’s most significant moments. “These are the directives for the album: if it cannot be played at a funeral, childbirth, graduation, a wedding, it will not be on our record,” the Atlanta-bred beatsmith said. “We learned a lot from Donda 1. We learned what hit. We learned what was sticking. So we took from there. It has to be able to be played at four major moments in people’s lives.”

Before the album’s release, Ye disclosed that the Stem Player made over $1.3 million in sales. “That’s faster than I’ve ever sold any T-shirt. God has a plan. New frontier,” “Everyone that is supporting our revolution is changing the game for all artist. We no longer have to bow to people who don’t even truly care about music. I feel like I’m back at SOB’s performing Jesus Walks.”

Furthermore, Ye and his current lover Julia Fox are making it difficult to cheer for them — Fox did not attend the celebrations, which may have been for the best — given previous attempts to “cancel cancel culture” by hanging out with suspected rapists like Manson and real rapists like A$AP Bari (Ye was seen skating in a pair of Bari’s trousers last year and hung out with him again during or before Paris Fashion Week).

Check out Ye’s amusingly unbalanced muscle t-shirt and Balenciaga Crocs boot combo (this is the first time he’s taken off those Red Wings in a while).

Perhaps he donned the Balenciaga boots to appease Kardashian, who is the star of the brand’s most recent advertising campaign. According to reports, Ye and the creator of KKW Beauty had dinner together at Nobu before Ye joined his friends at The Nice Guy.

Kanye West Wants Drake To Narrate His Upcoming Netflix Docuseries “Jeen-Yuhs”

For more than 20 years, Kanye West has had the idea that he should wager on himself. His most recent project, the Jeen-Yuhs documentary, is allowing fans to experience Ye’s formative years, and it’s apparently made him a tonne of money.

Ye boasted about the commercial success of his recently released stem player, the first product in his Yeezy Tech collection, in an Instagram post that has since been removed. “To earn the $2.2 million we made on the first day on the stem player the album would have had to stream 500 million times,” Ye captioned the post. “We did more revenue on stem player, without the album even being out, than we would have done with the album being out on streaming.”

Billboard declared on that coupling an album to a physical device classified as “bundling”—a practise the organisation considered invalid in 2020 and established a rule to exclude such methods from being counted as record sales. West welcomed the album’s demotion from the charts on Instagram, saying, “Big win for the kid. We can no longer be counted or judged. We make my own systems. We set our own value aaaand [sic] yesterday’s price is not todays price baaaaabeeeee”

Donda 2 was massively pirated and leaked on the internet immediately after its release. Because the song stems and remastering tools were accessible on emulators, the record was one of the most pirated albums. It also contributed to the pirated Stem Player website. Digital Nas hinted that a final version of the record will be published soon that year during his appearance at the Rolling Loud music event in July 2022.
