Kanye West Wants Drake To Narrate His Upcoming Netflix Docuseries Jeen-Yuhs

Kanye West urged Drake to narrate his Netflix’s “jeen-yuhs” documentary.

A new Kanye West docuseries “jeen-yuhs”, which had been in the work for 21 years, is going to release this month on Netflix. The film is directed by Coodie Simmons and Chike Ozah, the duo who also made Ye’s “Through the Wire” and third video of “Jesus Walks”.

Co-director Coodie Simmons, who was an aspiring stand-up comedy in the 1990s, had a gut feeling that the Chicago producer would become a global phenomenon. With that in mind, Simmons grabbed up a camera and filmed Yeezy’s rise to rap dignitary over the course of two decades. with hours upon hours of stored golden footage ranging from the ’90s until Donda West’s death in 2007, and then his friendship with Kanye was resurrected in 2016’s The Life of Pablo.

The rapper recently demanded the final edit of the film. “I’m going to say this kindly for the last time,” he wrote on his social media. “I must get final edit and approval on this doc before it releases on Netflix. Open the edit room immediately so I can be in charge of my own image. Thank you in advance.” However, the request was declined by the creators as Coodie stated, “Me and Chike have a company called Creative Control, because you don’t want to lose your creative control.”

Now once again Ye took to his social media, where he shared a screenshot of a conversation, possibly with the documentary creators. In the text exchange, Kanye West says that he wants Drake to do the narration of the 3 part film. “I need Drake to do the narration,” he said in the text. “DRAKE WANNA NARRATE THE DOCUMENTARY,” he captioned the post, which was also liked by Champagne Papi himself.

Recently, an official trailer for the “jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy” was released, with a summary: “Twenty-one years ago, Clarence ‘Coodie’ Simmons met Kanye West and saw something so special that he moved from Chicago to New York City to document Ye’s journey to become the next great rapper. Neither of them had any idea where just how far that journey would take them.”
