After Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, this track becomes the second track of the pre-streaming era to reach this milestone.
The Oscar-winning “8 Mile” theme, which was also Em’s first No. 1 song on Billboard’s Hot 100 list (spending 12 weeks at the top in 2002 and 2003), has been streamed 1.076 billion times. On Sunday, February 9, 2020, in the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Eminem performs “Lose Yourself” at the Oscars.

22) Eminem takes over the Rock The Bells Radio to Pay Respect to LL Cool J.
On the 30th Anniversary of LL Cool J’s fourth studio album ‘Mama Said Knock You Out’, the Detroit Rapper decided to take over his Rock The Bells Radio. He also appreciated LL Cool J calling him an innovator and raw on that song. Em did not stop there, he also rapped the LL’s classic song ‘Eat Em Up, L Chill’.

With 47 tattoos and 23 of them of the Detroit’s rapper, Nikki Paterson has definitely proved that she is a super fan by setting the Guinness World Record for most tattoos of Eminem. She has a crazy collection of the rapper’s tattoos and talks about how she has been a fan since the age of 14.

13) Eminem and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey donated a joint $ 1 million to fight COVID 19.
Eminem appeared on ‘Young Money Radio’ for an interview with Lil Wayne and made a huge revelation that he would be donating $250K to Detroit through his Marshall Mathers Foundation to help them during this pandemic.
In the interview, he said, “I have got a few areas that I want to take care of in Detroit”.

12) Eminem makes an appearance on Young Money Radio for an interview with Lil Wayne.
Marshall Mathers finally made an appearance on Young Money Radio and was all geared up for the interview with Lil Wayne. The two friends spoke about various things like The Last Dance, quarantine days, rappers they like, Wayne’s song Mona Lisa and about the new generation of hip hop and how it is evolving. Em even announced that he would be donating a certain amount to Detroit to help fight them COVID followed up by a call from Twitter CEO deciding to add to the amount. They also open up about how they google their old lyrics to avoid any sort of repetition.
11) Eminem faces Home Intrusion at his Detroit Mansion.
The year has been like a roller coaster ride for Eminem and yet another incident was when a man named Matthew David Hughes broke into Em’s house with the motive to confront the rapper. Hughes was later taken into custody and charged with first-degree home invasion and malicious destruction of a building.
During a preliminary examination in Macomb County District Court, officer Adam Hackstock Said, “When Mr. Mathers asked him why he was there, he was told by Mr. Hughes that he was there to kill him,” but Matthew David Hughes denied such reports. It is said that if the case goes to trial Eminem might have to face the invader and give a statement. This incident was quite shocking and left everyone worried about the safety of the rapper.

On completion of 12 years of sobriety, Slim Shady decided to celebrate it in a different way. He sent sponsored “Mom’s Spaghetti” meals to the Healthcare workers in Detroit Medical Center. These workers have been working day and night to up a fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.

9) “LA Originals” documentary released by Netflix features Eminem.
After dropping the trailer and the release of the 1 hour 32 minutes long documentary “LA Originals” by Netflix the audiences got to witness the Chicano culture. It also featured the Detroit Rapper as well as Snoop Dog. They spoke about Hip hop, the art from rides to tattoos. Even Em’s tattoos were documented and detailed stories about it were told.

‘Music to Be Murdered By’ becomes the 10th consecutive album by the Detroit rapper to debut at the top of the Billboard chart. It also breaks Kanye West’s record of 9 consecutive albums to top the Billboard 200. The album topped the chart with 274,876 albums equivalent to the units sold in the United States.

1) Release of Eminem’s surprise album “Music To Be Murdered By”.
Well, the start of the year was again quite surprising in itself as Eminem released his 11th studio album “Music to be Murdered By” in January. Just like his previous album “Kamikaze” in 2018, Em did not fail to shock the audiences with the surprise release.
The album contained 20 tracks with guest appearances from Black Thought, Royce 5’9″, Ed Sheeran, Juice WRLD, Anderson .Paak, Skylar Grey, KXNG Crooked, Young M.A., Don Oliver, and more.
Fun fact: 7 of the 20 tracks are produced by Dr. Dre and other tracks feature production from Royce, Eminem, Mr. Porter, Luis Resto, Skylar Grey, Dawaun Parker, and more.
Eminem also released an unannounced deluxe edition of the album, Music to Be Murdered By – Side B, on December 18, 2020. It contains the original album’s 20 tracks as well as 16 additional ones. It includes guest performances by Skylar Grey, DJ Premier, Ty Dolla $ign, Dr. Dre, Sly Pyper, MAJ, and White Gold, among others.
