Drake, NBA Youngboy, Kanye West are among the top streamed artists this year so far in the US.
It was recently revealed that Drake was the #1 most-streamed artist of 2021 in the US with 8.6 billion on-demand streams. And the rapper is already dominating 2022 as he’s leading the list most listened to artist of this year so far. According to Chart Data, the Toronto rap star gained 1.4 billion streams in 2022 so far.

The rapper is still riding high on the success of his last year’s album “Certified Lover Boy“, and he also earned another Billboard milestone recently. Drizzy’s second studio album “Take Care” has spent a full 9 years on the Billboard 200 chart, and became the ninth album to reach this milestone.
The second on top streamed artists list is NBA Youngboy, as he already earned over 1.2 Billion on-demand streams in the US. In just 2 months of 2022, the Baton Rouge rapper has already released three new projects. The joint project with Birdman “From The Bayou“, a solo effort “Colors“, and recently released “Better Than You” with DaBaby.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) stated in February that YoungBoy has 71 certifications, considerably outnumbering both J. Cole and Future. The amount gradually grew in the months after the RIAA’s first declaration, and YoungBoy flaunted the fruits of his labor on Instagram, while being at war with his record home, Atlantic Records.
The other hip-hop artists in the top 10 most streamed artists this year are Juice WRLD, Kanye West, Eminem, Kodak Black and Rod Wave.
Eminem is at seventh number with 710 Million streams this year. The Shady/Aftermath/Interscope musician has been the most rewarded performer for singles in the 64-year history of the Gold & Platinum program, according to the RIAA. The Oscar winner’s career total now stands at 227.5 million, with 166 million single certifications and 61.5 million album certifications, following the announcement of 73.5 million new award units on Tuesday. Drake had previously held the record with 163.5 million followers. With 151.5 million, Rihanna is in third place.
