Lil Durk Says He Feels He's Bigger Than Drake in The Hood

Lil Durk speaks on wanting to be bigger than Drake.

Lil Durk has finally dropped his highly anticipated new album “7220“, and the rapper made a visit to Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast for the promo run with his entourage. On the show, the host Wallo recalls that Durk told him he wants to be bigger than Drake and then asked how far he is from his target.

“Sh*t, to us, in this mothaf**ka, we bigger than him, you know what I’m sayin’?” Smurk said. “But nah, shout out to him. He touched the youth. That’s one thing about him… He touched us and got us hotter than what the f**k we was but a lot of people can’t say that. Like a lot of these mothaf**kas don’t even know him but a lot of people he talk to don’t know me. Like, that’s just what it is. And I’m in this mothaf**ka, middle of the trenches with a million dollars doing a f**kin’ interview, that’s why.”

At one moment in the interview, a tearful Wallo requested Durk to leave the street violence and told him the story about his brother’s death. “I can name 20 or 30 ni**as of my homies that’s dead, but I’m here though,” he said. “I forgave my brother’s killer. I’m saying that to say this. My brother died in my grandma’s arms in the house we grew up in. They shot my brother and he died in nanny’s arms when she opened the door. If I didn’t let that sh*t go, I wouldn’t be right here today for my nieces and nephews and me and Gillie wouldn’t be doing this. Y’all wouldn’t know me… I had to let that sh*t go. When I let that sh*t go, I started to grow and I started to glow. It was harder than a muthaf**ka’.”

Some may think this is a hot take, but he is not the first to make such a claim. Last year, 21 Savage was chastised for telling Akademiks that Future is larger in Atlanta than Drake.”N***as don’t be listenin’ to Drake like that where we are,” Savage said. “In Atlanta, it’s a lot of n***as who you can’t tell them Future ain’t bigger than Drake. On god, n***a. I used to think that! Drake ain’t really no big mixtape artist like that. How you got all your Drake albums, you probably really went in the store and bought those motherfuckers. Every Future album I ever heard was a bootleg. N***as was bootleggin’ it or going to LiveMixtapes.”
