Chris Brown is ready to take on J. Cole in a basketball match.

J. Cole is a known basketball fan and one of the rappers who has played the sport professionally. Chris Brown, who is one of the favourite players in celebrity basketball leagues, says that he would beat J. Cole in one on one basketball game after a little practice.

“Right now, J. Cole, I gotta give him his credit because he’s improved his basketball game,” said Brown at 4:30 minute mark in a new interview on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay Podcast. “I know he works with a couple of other guys I’ve worked with, too, as far as basketball training. He’s amazing. I’m still not gonna doubt me, now. Give me a week of practice. I think I got him.”

He continued, “I think I’ma get J. Cole, though. I would love to do that. I’m saying that humbly, though. Because J. Cole is an incredible player, If I’m serious about it, I play. Most of the time, I try to just have fun. I’m not taking an L. I gotta do that.”

The show’s host Shannon then proposed an amount of $100,000 for the winner if the match between Chris Brown and Cole happened.

Cole previously played for the Rwanda Patriots in the Basketball Africa League in 2021 for a short stint and then joined Scarborough Shooting Stars in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) last season as a guard. According to Complex, J. Cole’s good friend Drake is one of the reasons behind his contract with the league. Nicholas “Niko” Carino, Drizzy’s friend and one of the co-founders of OVO, is also a co-owner of the Shooting Stars franchise. Jermaine and Carino had a conversation regarding basketball in 2021 during Drake’s birthday party.
