Toronto Raptors Players Rates Drake & J. Cole's Basketball Skills

Drake and J. Cole get picked for their court skills.

Apart from their rap game, Drake and J. Cole are often seen on the basketball court. While Drizzy is the official ambassador for the Canadian Elite basketball league, Cole played for Scarborough Shooting Stars in the league.

The players of the Toronto Raptors team pick between the two based on who got the more basketball skills. “He’s actually one of the artists that really know how to play basketball,” said 2022 Rookie of the Year winner Scottie Barnes for Cole.

“[J. Cole] can play a little bit. You know what I mean? Not professionally, obviously. Drake is just old-man YMCA game. He just doesn’t move like a basketball player,” says Fred Van Vleet. “J. Cole moving super fluent so I’ma have to go with Cole,” says Gary Trent Jr.

“Drake’s low-key like the GOAT. Not low-key, [but] high-key. Whatever he drops is a banger,” Barnes added.

J. Cole recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of playing basketball professionally. In 2021, he had the opportunity to play in the newly established Basketball Africa League for a short period. The previous year, he took the court for a few games in the Canadian Elite Basketball League. Drake, meanwhile, has come a long way since his widely circulated airball miss in 2014.
