A new mini-documentary series titled “What Happened, Brittany Murphy” on the life of Actress Brittany Murphy is released and reveals some unknown things about her life. In the documentary, there’s a mini segment about Eminem is also featured, which reflects on Brittany’s on and off-screen relationship with the Detroit Rapper.

What Happened, Brittany Murphy? will feature fresh archive material as well as interviews with Brittany’s close friends and family. The film will look at the repercussions of sexism in Hollywood, the harmful effects of tabloid culture, and how Brittany’s life and career were affected by her marriage to late author Simon Monjack. On HBO Max, this two-part docuseries began on October 14th.

Actress Taryn Manning, who also starred in the film as Eminem’s girlfriend, talks about Brittany Murphy and Marshall in the documentary “She was nervous,” she said. “I mean that was a big role for her, Working across with the huge artist (Eminem). It could start to put pressure on you. I really like the first time they [Eminem & Brittany Murphy] make out in the factory. She went like all the way. She’s had a lot of courage on action like any type of inhibitions just went away. It was fascinating to know that THE on-screen chemistry also was going off the screen. I might be a little jealous on at that one. Like, ‘is it true? damn it!’ you know? Marshall’s awesome, no i’m joking but it was speculated.

The clip also featured Brittany’s appearance on David Letterman’s show, where she hinted at a relationship with Eminem. “Wаs there romаnce off the screen?” Letterman asked about her rumored relаtionship with Eminem. “Yeаh, sure. It went… It cаme аnd went,” Brittany responds.

Eminem and Murphy had never met before filming, although the actor acknowledged in a November 2002 interview with The Morning Call that she was a tremendous admirer. According to The Morning Call, she stated, “I’m a fan … I think that he’s very misunderstood,” she told the publication. The Spun actor thought Eminem’s music video experience paved the way for his film debut. “He’s brilliant. He’s a brilliant young man.”

Previously, one of Brittany Murphy’s close friends revealed that it was Eminem who taught her to throw the middle finger for the movie. “I was friends with the late Brittany Murphy,” he said. “We hung out for a few years and one time she told me a story that she had no idea how to throw up a middle finger cause she never flipped anyone off in her entire life until she did 8 Mile with Marshall. Eminem had to sit her down and teach her how to do it. And if you watch the movie, he has a weird way of flipping people off. And if you look, she does the exact same way he does.

The interviewer also inquired about Encore’s nerves when filming sequences with Murphy. She laughed, “You would have to ask him,” she joked. “I don’t want to pop up in some song or something. I’m being careful.”

The film “8 Mile” was a critical and commercial triumph. It debuted at No. 1 in the United States, with $51.3 million in its first weekend, and went on to make a total of $242.9 million worldwide. The album’s soundtrack was also a financial triumph, earning the Recording Industry Association of America’s quadruple platinum certification (RIAA). The film received several nominations and awards, including an Academy Award for Best Original Song for Eminem, Luis Resto, and Jeff Bass for “Lose Yourself” at the 75th Academy Awards. Several media selected 8 Mile as one of the greatest films of 2002.
