Dr. Dre's Ex-Wife Served Him Divorce Papers At His Grandmother's Funeral

Dr. Dre received divorce papers at his Grandmothers funeral.

Dr. Dre is going through the process of separation from his ex-wife Nicole Young, and now he received some more legal documents, but not in the right place. Earlier this week, Dr. Dre was at a cemetery for his Grandmother’s final rites. According to reports by TMZ, a process server for his estranged wife attempted to serve him with legal divorce documents at the cemetery where he buried his grandmother.

Sources connected to Dr. Dre told TMZ that a process server came up to him at the burial site where the rap mogul was standing by his grandmother’s casket and tried to serve him at that moment. But Sources of Nicole Young claimed that Dre was given the papers at the cemetery’s parking lot after his grandma’s funeral.

It is reported that Dre responded in anger and wouldn’t take the documents in hand. Dre’s sources claimed that The process server then dropped the documents by the gravesite. And Nicole sources say that they were dropped in the parking lot.

The docs reportedly had papers of the recent court orders, in which Dr. Dre had to pay Nicole Young’s attorney fees. Dre already paid $325,433, but now the judge signed an order that he owed a total of $1,550,000, which means he now had to pay the balance of $1,224,567.

In other developments, Dre is expected to release a new album, along with one from Snoop Dog, before the end of 2021, as part of ‘The Aftermath Takeover.’ DJ Battlecat recently revealed on Instagram that his highly awaited solo album and follow-up to 2015’s ‘Compton’ will be released before the end of the year. On October 12, Battlecat posted a meme on his Instagram account that depicted a possible schedule for the takeover, with Snoop Dogg’s record dropping on November 12 and Dre’s album dropping somewhere in December.

Young has accused Dre of abusing her to the point that she now suffers from “post-traumatic stress syndrome,” while Dre has firmly refuted the allegations. Dre was sentenced to pay Young roughly $300,000 in spousal support each month by a judge in July.

Unless the court determines differently, the former NWA member will have to maintain paying his ex until she remarries or enters into a domestic partnership, or until she remarries or enters into a domestic partnership.
The estranged couple, who have a son, Truice, 24, and a daughter, Truly, 20, have been unable to reach an agreement on how to divide Dre’s estimated $800 million wealth.
