The 2023 XXL Freshman class announced.
XXL returns with this year’s Freshman Class as they announced the 2023 artists. This 2023 list comes on the occasion of 50 years of Hip-Hop, and it marks the 16th year of the Freshman Class series which kicked off in 2007.
The 2023 XXL Freshman Class includes Tia Corine, Finesse2tymes, Lola Brooke, Rob49, Fridayy, GloRilla, 2Rare, SleazyWorld Go, Central Cee, Real Boston Richey, Luh Tyler, and DC The Don.

Over the next month, XXL will be releasing freestyles, cyphers, interviews and more with each Freshman. The producer Pi’erre Bourne created the beats for this year’s much-anticipated cyphers.
The fans were expecting Ice Spice on the list, who reportedly declined the offer due to a busy schedule. When the news was shared by TMZ, XXL’s Editor-in-chief Vanessa Satten wrote: “Not really the whole story or given excuse but okay.”
Last year’s 2022 Freshman Class had the likes of Babyface Ray, Babytron, Nardo Wick, Saucy Santana, Doechii, Big Scarr, and more.
