The rapper also earned the biggest vinyl sales week for a rap album in Nielsen history with 55k units sold.

Post Malone’s new album “Austin“ debuted at #2 with moving over 113,000 equivalent units in the first week. Malone’s last year’s album “Twelve Carat Toothache” also debuted at 2 on Billboard 200 with 121,000 sales in the first week.

Travis Scott also earned good numbers on Billboard Hot 100, as he earned two tracks in the top 5. The rapper’s Drake collab “Meltdown” debuts at #3 on charts, while Playboi Carti assisted “FE!N” debuts at #5. All songs from Utopia simultaneously chart on the Hot 100. With this, Drizzy extends his record as the artist with the most top 10 hits in Hot 100 history (69).

Utopia debuted with massive numbers on the streaming platform Spotify. According to Spotify, the project was the biggest opening day stream among hip-hop albums this year. The project earned 128.5 million Spotify streams on the first day. It was also the third overall biggest-ever opening day stream for a rap album on Spotify as the first two spots held by Drake with his albums “Certified Lover Boy” and “Scorpion”.
