Travis Scott’s UTOPIA earns huge streaming numbers.

Travis Scott finally released his long-awaited fourth studio album UTOPIA, and as expected, the rapper earns huge streaming numbers for the project.

According to Spotify, the project was the biggest opening day stream among hip-hop albums this year. The project earned 128.5 million Spotify streams on the first day. The second on the list is Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape with 53.4 million opening day streams.

This is also the third overall biggest-ever opening day stream for a rap album on Spotify. The first two spots held by Drake with his albums “Certified Lover Boy” and “Scorpion”. The fourth on the list is Kendrick Lamar with his last year’s comeback album “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers”.

La Flame’s new album arrived with a pack of 19 tracks and star-studded guest appearances. The album featured Drake, Future, Playboi Carti, Young Thug, Swae Lee, SZA, Beyonce, Kid Cudi, The Weeknd, 21 Savage and more.

According to HDD, Utopia is expected to move 245-275k units just from streaming alone, as the physical sales numbers are not available yet. Industry innuendo suggests Scott’s D2C orders have exceeded 200k. The album earned over 100m+ US first-day streams, and it is projected to earn 350n in the full first week.
