The Weeknd hypes fans for the Playboi Carti collab.

The Weeknd is all set to drop his new HBO series ‘The Idol’ this week which will arrive with a soundtrack album on June 4th. Earlier last week, the Canadian star premiered the show at Cannes Film Festival, where he attended the event with the whole cast in France.

During the event, a yet-to-be-released song teaser, which is a Playboi Carti collab, was played in the background. The snippet was shared online, and now The Weeknd himself hints at the collab as he posted a screenshot of Facetime with the “Whole Lotta Red” artist. According to OnThinIce, the track is titled “Popular”, and it will also feature Madonna. The full song is likely to appear on the soundtrack album of The Idol.

The highly anticipated show is created by The Weeknd, Euphoria director Sam Levinson and Reza Fahim. The series stars The Weeknd himself in the lead role along with Lily Rose Depp. The other cast includes Troye Sivan, Debby Ryan, Rachel Sennott, Steve Zissis and more.
