Spotify Unveils The List Of The Most Streamed Songs Of Summer 2022

Harry Styles & Bad Bunny dominated the most streamed songs on Spotify.

The summer is now officially over as per Spotify as it released the Summer 2022 songs list. The streaming giants released the list that is the most streamed songs of Summer 2022 & it saw nothing that wasn’t expected barring a single entrant by Kate Bush Running up the hill.

After two years of the global pandemic, people around the world were far more relaxed this year and the songs on the list were an indication of that too. As the lockdown restrictions were lifted, everyone enjoyed the summer with Barbeques, pool parties, meet & greet, and whatnot. The list released by Spotify for the most streamed songs either globally or in the US reflected the joyous mood of the users.

With 610 million streams in the previous three months, Harry Styles’ huge song ‘As It Was’ leads the global chart. Aside from becoming the most streamed music internationally, it was also the most streamed song in Belgium, Canada, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates.

Meanwhile, “As It Was” has logged a historic fifth consecutive week at No. 1 on the Hot 100, having initially ruled in April. It has subsequently flickered between the top three rankings, most recently leading in July, according to the most recent list. The song was also up for Video of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards.

This summer, courtesy of Stranger Things in May, Kate Bush’s popular 1985 song “Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)” reached No. 1 in the United States and No. 2 internationally.

This summer, Bad Bunny topped both worldwide and US charts with songs like ‘Me Porto Bonito,’ ‘Tit Me Preguntó,’ ‘Ojitos Lindos,’ and ‘Efecto Off’ off his current album, Un Verano Sin Ti.

The album also had the largest streaming week for a Latino album in history, with 356.66 million official streams in the United States, the highest for any album since Drake’s Certified Lover Boy in 2021, and is the most-streamed album on Spotify so far in 2022.
