Skylar Grey on Being Praised By Eminem This is My Grammy

Skylar Grey reacts to being praised by Eminem.

Eminem recently sat down with Gray Rizzy for behind the scenes stories of his songs from ‘Music To Be Murdered By‘ Side B project where he praised his go-to collaborator Skylar Grey. He said, “Let me say this, and I know I tell her this all the time but she’s like, I’ve had the privilege of working around a lot of f**kin town. It still gets me like, It’s still crazy to me sometimes when I’m working with Dre and I am looking at Dre like you’re f**kin Dr. Dre. Skylar is one of them, she’s definitely, she has to be, I don’t know how to say this Top 5 of the most talented people I’ve ever worked with but I’ve worked with so many talented people but the rate of speed that she works at. A being able to write it and B being able to sing it and to sing it that powerful, she’s an amazing talent. She wears a lot of different hats. She’s able to approach songs from the angels that I didn’t see coming. and also hit notes that I’m like, “What the f**k?! I didn’t expect it to go there!” And then it’s like, it was weird to me, and then the second time I hear it — I love it. She’s amazing, and her talent level is off the charts.”

Marshall remarked on the Shade45 New Year’s Eve Special about their recent collaboration on the “Music To Be Murdered By: Side B” opener “Black Magic.”

Now Skylar Grey took to her social media where she reacts to the praises from Eminem and how she’s extremely humbled by it. “I am extremely humbled by the words mister Mathers speaks in the recent interview he did with @shade45. Part of me is embarrassed for reposting this (swipe right to listen), because it’s such a flex and that’s not usually my style! 😝 But a bigger part of me wants to scream at the top of my lungs, “I DID IT!” There is no more feeling more fulfilling than for the people you admire most to show you this kind of respect… to me THIS is “making it,” THIS is success in the music industry… and THIS is my Grammy. I don’t need any trophies… the rap god has given me something MUCH more valuable. And I feel so incredibly blessed and grateful,” wrote Skylar. Check it out below.
