Remy Ma Says Female Rappers Are Scared To Collab With Her My Pen Really Go

Remy Ma explains why female rap artists don’t want to work with her.

Remy Ma is one of the top lyricists in the game and has worked with several top MCs, but according to the “Lean Back” hitmaker, other female hip-hop artists are scared to get on a song with her. The 41-year-old recently sat down with Big U for an interview with Checc’n In podcast, where she explains why other artists avoid working with her.

“‘Cause my pen really go,” she said. “They know. Nobody don’t play with me. Even guys. People call me and they’re like, ‘You need to do some features.’ No girl wants to be on a song with me. Especially if she up! She don’t want Remy Ma on a song.”

Remy continues, ” They know what’s gon’ happen and the same thing goes for guys. A guy don’t wanna call me to get on a song ’cause he knows what’s gonna happen. So, it’s cool. I’m alright with it.”

Remy Ma hasn’t been releasing much music, and she dropped her most recent single “Godmother” after appearing on Fat Joe & Ja Rule’s VERZUZ Battle a few months back.

Remy Ma made her acting debut in the BET+ film, American Gangster Presents: Big Fifty – The Delronda Hood Story, earlier this year, having already proven she can spit fires. The Bronx native played real-life Detroit queenpin Delrhonda Hood, alongside R&B artist Tank, Empire’s Ta’Rhonda Jones, and Raising Dion’s Michael Anthony.
