Rap Fans Reacts After Lil Gnar Calls Future Better Than Tupac

Fans are furious over Lil Gnar’s Future comparison to Tupac.

We often see debates and arguments by the rap fans after someone compares current generation MCs with some of the greats of the game. Lil Gnar, the Atlanta based rapper decided to create chaos as he made a statement that Future is better than the legendary Tupac. The tweet is put out without any explanation and now fans arguments why the Freebandz rapper can never reach 2pac’s level.

“Future better den tupac easy,” wrote Lil Gnar. “Tupac cared for women as men should, future ain’t no where near that. Never will be,” responded one fan. “Future is 38 and has the Internet. Tupac died at 25 and didn’t have it and you still remember that dude lol,” said another. “Tupac isn’t all that good. If we are being honest lol,” claims one fan.

Tupac was assassinated in 1996, when he was 25 years old, after a car he was travelling in was fired at by unknown gunmen. Not just because of his abilities, but also because of his revolutionary views, community building, and progress as a man and artist, his legacy has remained a cornerstone in Hip Hop. However, there is a generation of Hip Hop fans who did not grow up listening to Tupac’s music, and their definitions of GOATs or Top 10 rappers are quite different, and for many, Future is a leading voice above Tupac’s achievements.

Gnar’s spicy take on his fellow Atlanta resident racked up over 7,000 likes on Twitter and sparked a heated argument in the comments section. “2pac record sales- 75 million before the internet Future record sales- 25 million,” one fan reminded the “Death Note” rapper. “Future has made more music and has had more projects while the internet existed. Pac clears Future any day. Don’t forget that Future made a song called ‘2pac.’”

Fans frequently enjoy debating and discussing which rappers are the finest lyricists, performers, authors, or have the most notable flows. Tupac Shakur has remained a favourite in the business for decades after his death, being labelled a GOAT by industry luminaries and fans alike, but Gnar feels another artist is greater.

The “Mask Off” rapper has recently been a centre of attention several times. Joe Budden praised Future on his recent podcast and listed him with the likes of Drake, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar and more. Future claimed that he is bigger than Jay-Z in the streets, and also seemingly agreed to a statement that he could beat Hov in a Verzuz.
