A couple of weeks ago, NBA teamed up with Lil Nas X for a BET diss track “Late To Da Party,” which was in response to the “Montero” rapper not getting nominated at this year’s award event.

The Louisiana rapper admitted that he hasn’t felt the same way about music in a long during a Clubhouse talk with DJ Akademiks last year. NBA YoungBoy acknowledged, “I lost love for music and it brings too many problems,” . “I been waiting to stop making music for about one and a half years.”

NBA YoungBoy has released three studio albums, including Top and Sincerely, Kentrell in 2020. Both albums debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, while the former has subsequently received platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

YoungBoy also became the third rapper in rap history to have a No. 1 album while jailed, joining 2Pac and Lil Wayne. With almost 71,000 units sold, the album, which had no features, fell to No. 4 in its second week. It also temporarily knocked Drake’s Certified Lover Boy from the #1 spot.
