Nas’ new album “King’s Disease II” earns top 3 Billboard 200 debut.

Last week, Nas made his return with a new album “King’s Disease II“, a sequel to his last year’s Grammy-winning project. The album which is executive produced by Hit-Boy, featured appearances from Eminem, Ms. Lauryn Hill, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, YG, Charlie Wilson, and more. Nas’ album’s first-week sales numbers are in, as the project debuted at No. 3 on Billboard 200.

Meanwhile, Billie Eilish’s Happier Than Ever is projected to stay at No. 1 for a second week, with Olivia Rodrigo, The Kid LAROI, Doja Cat, Morgan Wallen, Lil Durk and Lil Baby, Polo G, George Harrison, and Isaiah Rashad rounding out the top 10.

Did King’s disease go platinum? Yes & Nas won his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Album for King’s Disease in March. Hit-Boy produced the entire album, with Gabriel “G Code” Zardes serving as co-executive producer.Nas and Legacy Recordings also issued a 25th-anniversary edition of his seminal album It Was Written, which includes the original tracklist as well as bonus tracks “Silent Murder” and “Street Dreams” (with a bonus verse) that were previously unavailable on streaming.

So How much did Nas King disease sell? According to Billboard, Nas’ thirteenth studio album moved 56,000 units in the first week. The legendary rapper has earned his milestone 15th Top 10 album on the Billboard chart. It is his highest performing album in nearly a decade, his 2012’s effort “Life is Good” debuted at #1 on Billboard 200 with 149,000. Part 1 of the project, debuted at #5 on Billboard 200 last year, with 47,000 album-equivalent units. The album could produce 51.5K in total first-week consumption, including units from track purchases and streams.

The top spot on the Billboard chart again goes to Billie Eilish, whose new album “Happier Than Ever” spends a second consecutive week at #1 after moving 85,000 equivalent units this week.
