Miley Cyrus twerks with Megan Thee Stallion at the 2021 ACL Music Festival.
The annual Austin City Limits Music Festival has kicked off at Zilker Park in Austin. The two-weekend fest will go on from Oct 1-3, then 8-10th. On the opening day of the Festival, artists like Machine Gun Kelly, BIA, Tanya Tucker, Skip Markey, Jonh Pardi were among the performers. Megan Thee Stallion was also one of the performers at the 2021 ACL opening day, where she gets a huge surprise during her performance.
Megan Thee Stallion and her fellow dancers were twerking to “Do It On The Tip” single when her performance was crashed by Miley Cyrus, who joined Megan to twerk together in front of the full-house crowd. The clips show that Miley Cyrus was first enjoying the performance at one side of the stage, who then decided to join Stallion, which caught her off guard. Then both the artists gave each other a hug, then Megan stepped aside to let Miley show her twerking skills. Megan Thee Stallion shared the clips on her IG story, with “My Girl” and multiple heart emojis in the caption.
Billie Eilish, who is set to perform on Oct 2 at the Fest, was also seen enjoying Megan Thee Stallion’s performance. Billie Eilish and Duran Duran headline this weekend and next, alongside Tyler, the Creator, St. Vincent, Doja Cat, Tierra Whack, Jack Harlow, Phoebe Bridgers, Erykah Badu, Polo G, and many more.
The two performers helped kick off the ACL festival’s first weekend, with Cyrus later returning for her headlining act. In July, the Hannah Montana alum talked about her plans to resume performing after the epidemic halted live music. “It kind of feels like my first time and I’ve f—ing done everything a lot of f—ing times. It really feels like the first,” she told the crowd at the grand opening of Ayu Nights in Las Vegas. “You know when you meet somebody and you’re like, ‘I’ve never actually loved before because this s— feels so f—ing different.’ That’s how I feel about being here with you guys.”
