Kylie Jenner Releases Statement After 8 People Died At Travis Scott's Concert

Kylie Jenner issues a statement on the Astroworld Festival Tragedy.

On Saturday night, Travis Scott kicked off his Astroworld 2021, but the Festival turned into tragedy after at least 8 people were reported dead after a stampede at NRG Park. Travis Scott issued written statements, as well as through his IG stories. “I’m absolutely devastated by what took place last night,” he said. “My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival.”

Kylie Jenner was also in attendance at the concert, and she was slammed online earlier for posting clips of the Festival, while there was an Ambulance trying to pass through the massive crowd of 50,000. She later took down the clips, and now issued a statement over the tragic incident.

“Travis and I are broken and devastated. My thoughts and prayers are with all who lost their lives, were injured or affected in anyway by yesterday’s events,” she wrote. “And also for Travis who I know cares deeply for his fans and the Houston community. I want to make it clear we weren’t aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show and in no world would have continued filming or performing. I am sending my deepest condolences to all the families during this difficult time and will be praying for the healing of everyone who has been impacted.”

The reports state that there are narratives of some individuals injecting other people in the crowd with drugs. Meanwhile, lawsuits are beginning to pour in, with one festival goer, Kristian Paredes, 23, of Austin, suing Travis Scott and guest singer Drake for more than $1 million.
