Lil Wayne Says “Tha Carter VII” Could Be Coming Soon.
Lil Wayne may already be preparing the next chapter of his legendary Tha Carter series. During a recent appearance on the Wake Up Barstool show, the rap icon revealed that he has a lot of new music ready and hinted that ‘Tha Carter VII’ could arrive sooner than fans expected.
Wayne spoke openly about his future plans while discussing his music career and upcoming projects. Although he did not fully confirm the album title yet, he made it clear that more music is definitely on the way.
“Tha Carter VII is coming soon,” Wayne said during the interview.
However, the rapper also explained that he is still unsure if his next album will officially use that title. “I’m not sure if we going to just name my next album Tha Carter VII,” he added. “But I got albums coming as well.”
He continued by saying he has been recording a huge amount of music recently and has enough material for multiple projects. “I got music for days,” he said.

The comments quickly got fans excited online, especially after mixed reactions to Tha Carter VI, which dropped in 2025. While many listeners were happy to hear Wayne return with another Carter album, some fans felt the project did not fully match the classic energy of earlier releases like Tha Carter II and Tha Carter III.
