After his performance, Eminem took the knee in Colin Kaepernick style in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter Movement and remained on it in respect to 2Pac as Dr. Dre plays “I ain’t mad at cha” on the piano.

Dr Dre said, ‘The opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl LVI half-time show, and to do it in my own back yard, will be one of the biggest thrills of my career.’

Eminem discussed his attitude for the Super Bowl Halftime Event with Sway Calloway on SiriusXM’s Shade 45 podcast before of the halftime show. “To me, there’s nothing more final than live TV,” Slim Shady stated, noting the strain of potentially messing up on one of the world’s greatest platforms. Em described the Super Bowl Halftime Show “f**king nerve-wracking,” Em said that if you f**k up, your f**k up is there forever.” Em also revealed how Dr. Dre approached him about the Halftime Show position.

Snoop also spoke ahead of the show, saying, ‘For me, when performing, I never let the moment get bigger than me. I’m not going to understand it until it happens. While it’s happening, I’m in the zone. I’m stuck to the script, laser focused, being on point, sounding good, looking good and feeling good. I want to give off a great presentation. After the fact, it’s when I’ll be nervous about watching it to see what the reaction is. But while I’m going through it, it’s nothing.’
