Gunna Smiles In Video Call With Godson From Prison

Gunna all smiles in a new video from prison.

It’s been over a couple of months since Gunna was locked up in prison after being arrested with Young Thug and other YSL members over allegations of street gang activity and conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. The “Pushin P” rapper was already denied several bail pleas, and he’s likely to be in jail for at least next year when his next trial is scheduled for February 2023.

However, the rapper looks to be in good spirits as he is seen smiling on a video call with his godson from prison. “Shorty look like a real playa,” the smiling Gunna said in the call.

Last month, Gunna shared a letter from prison on his birthday and states that he’s being falsely accused. “For now, I don’t have my freedom. But I am innocent. I am being falsely accused and will never stop fighting to clear my name. The picture that is being painted of me is ugly and untrue. My fans know I love to celebrate life, I love my family, I love travel, I love music, I love my fans. I have all faith that God will grant me justice for the purity in my heart and the innocence of my actions,” he wrote.

Around the same time, claims surfaced that a nurse had been caught sneaking marijuana and other substances into Fulton County Jail for Gunna, however, his counsel has categorically denied this. “None of the allegations made today, these so-called new allegations, are accurate,” attorney Steve Sadow clarified before providing a statement on behalf of the imprisoned artist’s parents. “All they’re looking for is their son to get a fair shake, and they don’t think that’s happening so far.”
