Gunna’s “Pushin P” surpassed a million sales in the US.
While he’s still in prison after being arrested over RICO charges, Gunna continues to earn new milestones. The YSL rapper’s smash hit “Pushin P” is now eligible for certified platinum status in the US after being moved over 1,000,000 units.
The song was released back in January, with assistance from Future and Young Thug. The song debuted at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100, was a standout track off his third studio album “DS4Ever” and was the highest charted record off the album.
“It came from pushing P. We’ve been pushing P, it was a lifestyle before it was even a song, you feel me? So, we kind of just made the song just [being[ in the studio together, just on some everyday [sh*t], like anytime we would actually be in the ttudio. We didn’t try to go make a Pushin P song, but it just came from already Pushing P,” he said about the song. “Man, Pushin P, it’s like a lifestyle. It’s like anything you’re doing that’s positive or just player…or just anything you can just think of that’s cool. That’s Pushing P, it’s that simple.”

Following 22.5 million streams and a second position start on the Streaming Songs list, “Pushin P” arrived at seven on the Billboard Hot 100. It was Gunna’s first top 10 entry and third overall, after “Lemonade” with Internet Money and “Drip Too Hard.” After Drake’s chart-topping “Way 2 Sex,” Future and Young Thug achieved their fifth and sixth Hot 100 top 10s, respectively, and their second joint top 10.
Gunna’s album Drip Season 4Ever additionally featured 21 Savage, Drake, Kodak Black, Lil Baby, Chris Brown, Roddy Ricch and more. The album topped the Billboard 200 with 150,000 album-equivalent units of which 4,000 were pure sales.
The project became Gunna’s second number-one album and it notably blocked the Weeknd’s album Dawn FM from the top spot by approximately 2,300 units.
