Gunna Releases His New Album Drip Season 4 Feat. Drake, Future, Lil Baby & More

Gunna shares the new album “Drip Season 4”.

Gunna kicks off his 2022 with new material as he unleashed his brand new album “Drip Season 4”. The last instalment of the Drip Season series was released in 2018. The new project is a follow up to Gunna’s 2020’s album “Wunna”. The 28-year-old recently shared a unique artwork for the album, which is created by Nyc based artist Daniel Arsham.

“I’ve been a fan of Gunna’s music for quite some time and was pleased when he reached out to me a number of months ago through DM with questions about my work,” Arsham told Billboard. “He was very curious about how some of the pieces that I create are made. He was intrigued about the crystal materials I use and the idea of time travel and the future, present within the works. We connected in person a few times and at some point he asked if I wanted to work on the DS4 album cover with him.”

The new album contains 20 tracks with guest appearances from Future and Young Thug on “Pushin”, 21 Savage on “Thought I Was Playing”, Drake on “Pu**y Power“, Kodak Black on “How You Did That”, Lil Baby on “25k Jacket”, Yung Bleu and Chris Brown on “Die Alone”, Future and Roddy Ricch on “Miss Me Remix” and more.

Drip Season 4 has been a long time coming. Gunna released his most recent album, Wunna, in May 2020, and fans have been waiting for the spitter to return to the heights he achieved on his first studio album, Drip or Drown 2. Gunna’s Drip Season mixtape trilogy was the rapper’s first collection of music released under his present identity after deleting the “Yung” from his name, thus DS4 should have the tenacity that made previous releases so memorable.

With 150,000 album-equivalent units, which include 193.5 million on-demand streaming and 4,000 pure sales, DS4Ever debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200, becoming Gunna’s second number-one album. The album managed to keep the Weeknd’s Dawn FM album from taking the top spot by about 2,300 sales.

UPDATE: The Drake collaboration has been removed from the album.
