Future Name Drops Eminem On His New Album I Never Liked You

Future references being in the same conversation with the likes of Eminem.

Future continued his musical return as he unleashed the deluxe edition of his latest album “I Never Liked You“. The new version featured additional 6 tracks with guest appearances from Lil Baby, 42 Dugg, Lil Durk, Young Scooter and BabyFace Ray. On the song called “No Security” with BabyFace, Future also name drops the legendary Eminem.

Takin’ pics with junkies and I’m ridin’ ’round with Eminem,” he raps, referencing being in the same conversation as the likes of rappers such as Eminem. The two have never collaborated before, but Future received writing credits on Shady’s 2020 track “Book of Rhymes”.

It is not clear if Future’s reference to Eminem in his new song “No Security” is meant to imply that they are now considered in the same league, or if the reference is a result of a collaboration between the two artists.

On the album “Music To Be Murdered By“, Eminem also gave a shout out to Future on the song “Zeus“. “Sayin’ that your new one isn’t better than your last and / Even if it is, once they start to turn their backs / They ain’t never comin’ back in / They did it to Chance / Next they’ll be mentionin’ Future in the past tense,” he rapped.

Future’s album “I Never Liked You” debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart in the US, earning 222,000 album-equivalent units (including 6,000 pure album sales) in its first week. This made it Future’s eighth number-one album in the US, 15th top-10 album, and the most successful album of 2022 in terms of first-week sales at the time. The tracks on the album received a total of 283.75 million streams.

Following his latest album, Future provided assistance on Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday 2”, Chris Brown’s “11:11”, Offset’s “Set It Off”, Quavo’s “Rocket Power”, Young Thug’s “Business Is Business”, Killer Mike’s MICHAEL”, Lil Durk’s “Almost Healed” and more.
