Eminem Disses Snoop Dogg on His New Song Zeus

Eminem disses Snoop Dogg on his new album.

Earlier tonight, Eminem released his surprise Deluxe Version of his album “Music To Be Murdered By“. The Side B project features 16 new tracks with guest appearances from Dr. Dre, Skylar Grey, Ty Dolla Sign, DJ Premier, and more. Eminem also collaborated with White Gold on the song called “Zeus” where he disses the legendary Snoop Dogg. Check out his lyrics below.

And, as far as squashin’ beef, I’m used to people knockin’ me
But, just not in my camp
I’m diplomatic, ’cause I’m tryna be—
Last thing I need is Snoop—doggin’ me
Man, dog, you was like a (Yeah) damn god to me
Man, not really (Haha)
I had “dog” backwards.

The lines are in response to the West Coast legend, who said that the Detroit Rapper isn’t in his Top 10. In July, Snoop Dogg said, “Eminem, the great white hope. White rappers had zero respect in rap, let’s keep that in mind, He has probably put Eminem in the position where he could be labeled as one of the top 10 rappers ever, I don’t think so but the gang feels like he’s top 10 lyricists and all that. That’s just because he’s with Dr. Dre and Dr. Dre helped him find the best Eminem that he could find.

Fans have been concerned about the possibility of a rivalry between Eminem and Snoop Dogg, who have been trading minor jabs since the summer. Snoop Dogg put those anxieties to rest on Tuesday (Jan. 12), when he commented on a fan’s vintage photo of him and Em.

Dogg isn’t the only well-known individual addressed by Eminem in “Zeus.” He issued a warning to his friend Drake, rapping: “And, Drake, they’re gonna turn on you one day too. And the more you win, the sooner they do.” Eminem also expressed regret to Rihanna for prior lyrics concerning Chris Brown’s domestic attack on her. A public outrage erupted once the lyrics were revealed.

What did Eminem say about Snoop?

Eminem revealed on his Shade 45 radio station that Snoop’s remarks had caught him off guard, sparking his retaliation diss. “Everything [Snoop] said, by the way, was fine — up to a point,” Eminem said on the show. “Him saying Dre made the best version of me, absolutely. Why would I have a problem with that? Would I be here without Dre? F**k no, I wouldn’t.

I think it was more about the tone he was using that caught me off-guard ‘cause I’m like, where is this coming from? I just saw you, what the f**k? It threw me for a loop,” he continued. “I probably could’ve gotten past the whole tone and everything, but it was the last statement where he said, ‘Far as music I can live without, I can live without that sh*t.’ Now you’re being disrespectful.

Fans have been concerned about the possibility of a feud between Eminem and Snoop Dogg, who have been trading small barbs since the summer. Snoop Dogg put those worries to rest on Tuesday (Jan. 12), when he commented on a fan’s vintage photo of him and Em. “I wonder what changed,” the fan captioned the shot, which saw Snoop, Eminem, and Dr. Dre posing together. “Nothing, we good,” Snoop reassured.

UPDATE: In an interview on the SiriusXM show Paul Pod, hosted by Paul Rosenberg, Eminem disclosed that a longstanding feud with Snoop Dogg was resolved after their mutual friend Dr. Dre was hospitalized. The altercation was defused when Dr. Dre suffered an aneurysm and was critically ill for a period of time, leading the two rappers to reach out to each other and make amends. “When that thing happened with Dre, we were like, ‘Bro, this is stupid,’” Eminem said. “This is stupid as hell to be feuding right now.”

As Snoop Dogg describes on a future edition of our Rolling Stone Music Now podcast, one of the hottest rap beefs in recent memory came to a peaceful conclusion a few months ago, when he picked up his phone and delivered a private apology to fellow Dr. Dre prodigy Eminem. Snoop adds in the episode, which airs on SiriusXM’s Volume channel (106) on October 29th and will be available as a podcast on November 3rd, “I know how to call Marshall and say, man, I apologise.” “‘I was wrong, bro. ‘Do you forgive me?’ The two veteran rappers then collaborated on a new song that will appear on Snoop’s Mt. Westmore supergroup’s album, which will be released in January and features Ice Cube, Too $hort, and others.

Now, Eminem has re-addressed the situation in his songs, confirming that everything is fine. Eminem claimed that he spoke with Jack Harlow and Cordae on the remix to Killer and that they had resolved their feud, “Just called Snoop and I talked to him, we all cool/Dre, me, and the Dogg good, Doc, we got you,” he raps.

The West Coast rap legend claimed in a recent interview that he wants to perform at next year’s Super Bowl halftime performance alongside Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, and Eminem. “I’m available, Dre’s available, Eminem’s available, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent — whoever Dr. Dre wants to pull out of his hat to make this thing a professional event and make it big and the biggest effort they can have,” he told Yahoo! “It’s just a matter of the NFL pulling the trigger.”

Dr. Dre, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and Snoop Dogg took the stage as the Los Angeles Rams met the Cincinnati Bengals at SoFi Stadium in a celebrity-packed performance worthy of this year’s Los Angeles host.

On February 13th, Snoop Dogg and Eminem will perform in the Super Bowl LVI halftime show alongside Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige. “Take a look at everyone up there,” Snoop continues. “Now consider what they mean to Dr. Dre.” It’s a presentation by Dr. Dre. So we’re basically getting his back, coming through as his soldiers should when the general says, ‘Line up.'”

Snoop Dogg and Dre opened the show with their collaboration “The Next Episode,” followed by Dre and Tupac Shakur’s “California Love.” Eminem then returned to the stage, playing his Grammy and Academy Award-winning song “Lose Yourself.”

In an appearance on Paul Rosenberg’s podcast, the Detroit rapper revealed he squashed beef with Snoop Dogg after Dre’s Brain Aneurysm situation. “Me and Snoop [Dogg] had our little issue,” said Eminem on Paul Rosenberg’s podcast. “When that thing happened with Dre, the brain aneurysm thing, we were like, ‘Bro, this is stupid. This is stupid as hell to be feuding right now.’ I don’t remember if I called him or he called me; I can’t remember. But we talked it out. I think there was a miscommunication at the time, in regards to him being on my album, The Marshall Mathers LP – ‘B***h Please II,’ and I think he had wanted to do something with me.”
