Freddie Gibbs Responds After Young Thug Co-Signs Diss Track From Gunna

Young Thug supports Gunna’s diss against Freddie Gibbs.

Gunna recently dropped his brand new album “DS4EVER“, the star-studded effort for his fourth and final instalment of the “Drip Season” project series. One of the main talked-about moments from the album was shots against Freddie Gibbs. The two recently had a war of words on Twitter, where the “Alfredo” rapper accused Gunna of being a snitch.

“When my album drop Freddie Gibbs will the biggest moment of his career,” said Gunna before the album. “Definitely about to be my biggest year in rap I appreciate all y’all ni**az manne #SSS [Rabbit emoji],” wrote Gibbs. “I’m the hot topic right now these ni**az need me to push the project. I get it.” “U can say U sold more records got more money but I ain’t never been on crime stoppers. Fin,” he said in a series of tweets.

However, the diss didn’t get the reaction Gunna was hoping for as it only featured one line about Gibbs. “Hang above the rim / I can’t f**k with Freddie Gibbs (No)/ Ni**as tellin’ fibs (Fibs),” Gunna raps on “Poochie Gown” song.

Now Gunna’s frequent collaborator Young Thug also joins the war as he raps the recent shots for Freddie Gibbs in a clip. “High above the rim / I don’t f**k with Freddie Gibbs/ Ni**as tellin’ fibs / Risk your life get next to me / Know your chances slim,” Thug raps while showing the middle finger in a clip posted by DJ Akademiks.

“All the girls that like me wear dresses,” Freddie Gibbs wrote in a since-deleted tweet, referencing Thug’s Jeffery album artwork. “This ain’t nothin, Say My Name Say My Name,” he later said. “I guess it’s time for another one of those ‘moments.’,” he wrote, referencing Gunna’s tweet about him.

It’s unclear why YT chose today to retaliate against Freddie. However, this latest development comes only a week after YSL rapper Gunna made fun of Freddie Gibbs on his new album, DS4Ever. The insult came a day after the two began a Twitter feud. Due to Gunna’s presence in what some were thinking an episode of Crime Stoppers but was actually a CNN broadcast from years ago, Freddie dubbed him a snitch in 2020.

In a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, Gunna revealed that Gibbs tried to connect with him for a collab after snitch comments a few years ago. “He tried to do a song with me through my manager. It’s like, ‘Huh? Wait, what?’ It was a long, long, long time ago, maybe years ago, and he thought I forgot. I just don’t forget. If I got a problem with you from five years ago, it’s still, you know [a problem]. It don’t change. It can be ten years later. I’m gon’ get you.”
