Kanye West’s India Concert Suspended Over Security Concerns.
Kanye West has suffered another setback in his comeback touring plans after his upcoming one-night concert in India is officially suspended over security concerns.
The rapper, also known as Ye, was scheduled to perform on May 23, 2026, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi. However, organisers announced on Friday that the event will no longer take place on that date after receiving directives and warnings from government officials and local police.
In an official statement shared online, organisers said they were “deeply disheartened” to cancel the event after months of planning and preparation. The statement explained that the safety and well-being of fans and citizens in India had become the top priority because of the “sensitive time” currently affecting the region.

The organisers also confirmed that full refunds will be issued to all valid ticket holders who purchased through the official ticketing partner. Refunds are expected to arrive within five to seven business days.
Even though the concert has been suspended for now, reports claim the event could return later this year. According to sources, the Kanye West concert may be rescheduled for October, although no official new date has been confirmed yet.
The Indian show had already faced problems earlier this year. The concert was originally supposed to happen on March 29 but was pushed back because of rising socio-political tensions.
Before the suspension, the event was reportedly close to selling out, with organisers claiming it would have been one of the biggest live productions ever staged in India.
This marks another difficult moment for Ye as he continues trying to rebuild his international touring career following years of controversies and public backlash. Recently, a major UK festival appearance involving Kanye was also cancelled after reports claimed he was banned from entering the country. In addition, another show in France was reportedly suspended because of similar concerns.
