Eminem's Revival Album is Finally Eligible For Platinum in US

Eminem’s “Revival” sold 1 Million Units.

Eminem’s 9th studio album ‘Revival‘, which released 3 years ago, finally goes platinum after moving over 1 Million Units in the US. The album claimed to be Eminem’s worst project by the fans & critics and didn’t get the recognition it deserved. The Detroit Rapper’s ninth studio album featured guest appearances from Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Alicia Keys, Kehlani, Pink, and more. The production was handled by FredWreck, Skylar Grey, Dr. Dre, Rick Rubin, and more. The project released a couple of months after his controversial 2017 BET Hip-Hop Awards Freestyles, where he dissed, then US President Donald Trump. It is said that the album received criticism due to that freestyle, which divided his fans over political preference.

The rock-influenced production on some songs, as well as the widespread utilization of pop stars for guest appearances, polarised critics. In Australia, Canada, Finland, the United Kingdom, and the United States, the album debuted at number one. It was also the UK’s number one Christmas album in 2017 and was certified platinum in the UK. It was followed by Kamikaze, Eminem’s eleventh studio album, which was seen as a response to the backlash of “Revival”.

After reaching the latest milestone, all of Eminem’s albums are now certified platinum, including his latest project ‘Music To Be Murdered By‘ which also become eligible for platinum a few days ago.
