Eminem To Feature on Nas' New Album King's Disease 2

Nas unveils “King’s Disease 2” Tracklist feat Eminem, YG, EPMD, and more.

Last week, a surprise announcement was made that Nas is releasing his new album “King’s Disease 2” on August 6 as he revealed the official cover art. Now the legendary rapper has put out the official tracklist, which features a dream collaboration with none other than Eminem. Just like his last year’s album, the sequel will also be entirely executive produced by Hit-Boy.

The album will feature a pack of 15 tracks, with guest appearances from A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, YG, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Blxst, and Charlie Wilson. Eminem will assist on the song called “EPMD 2” which will also feature the legendary Hip-Hop duo EPMD. A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie & YG will assist Nas on “YKTV”, while MS. Lauryn Hill featuring in the song called “Nobody”. The other appearances, Charlie Wilson on “No Phony Love” and Blxst on “Brunch On Sundays.”

Nas teaming with his “If I Rule The World partner” for “Nobody” is the second biggest surprise, after the Eminem collab. Because Lauryn Hill is less interested in rhyming these days, it’s unclear whether we’ll get a pre-released stanza or a new one. In any case, I’m looking forward to it.

Eminem has always said that Nas is one of his influences and now a collaboration between the two icons will be a treat for the fans. A couple of months ago, Eminem did his Clubhouse debut where he detailed buying Nas’ classic “Illmatic” album for $600.

As a result, King’s Disease II will be the second time Nas and Em, as well as Nas and Lauryn, have collaborated. Nas and Ms. Hill cooperated on Nas’ biggest hit to date, 1996’s “If I Ruled The World” from It Was Written, while Eminem produced Nas’ God’s Son single “The Cross” in 2002.

Meanwhile, Nas and Eminem collaborate for the first time on “EPMD 2,” the follow-up to Nas and Hit-Judas Boy’s and the Black Messiah soundtrack cut. Until recently, the two have only collaborated on bootleg recordings and unreleased material.

EPMD, the iconic Hip Hop duo consisted of Erick Sermon and Parish Smith who recorded a series of outstanding albums in the late ’80s and early ’90s, is featured on “EPMD 2.”

Nas’s 15th top 10 album, King’s Disease II, opened at number three on the US Billboard 200, marking his highest-charting album in nine years. The album also debuted at number one on both the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and US Top Rap Albums charts in its first week of release, selling 56,000 total album-equivalent units. The first-week sales of King’s Disease II surpassed those of its predecessor, which opened at number five on the Billboard 200 with nearly 47,000 copies sold.

King’s Disease debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 in August 2020 and went on to win Best Rap Album at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, giving Nas his first Grammy.
