Eminem is now the rapper with the second-most monthly listeners on Spotify.
Eminem has been in the game for over 25 years, but the king of longevity is still achieving several milestones and going head to head with top artists of this generation. The rapper who was already one of the top rappers on Spotify gets a huge push following his Super Bowl performance with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent.
The rapper recently returned to the top 10 of Billboard 200 with his decade-old album “Curtain Call: The Hits”, and has now reached new heights on Spotify. According to the latest numbers, the Detroit Rapper has now surpassed Billboard’s Artist of the Decade Drake on the most monthly listeners list. Eminem now has 53.72 million listeners on the platform, and he goes past Drizzy who has 53.71 million.
The Weeknd has the most monthly Spotify listeners of any male artist, while Dua Lipa has the most monthly Spotify listeners of any female artist. The most popular male musician is Ed Sheeran, while the most popular female artist is Ariana Grande. Since 2013, Spotify has released an annual list of its most-streamed artists, which Drake has topped three times (2015, 2016 and 2018).
Eminem is now the 12th most listened to artist on Spotify in the world. He is now the 2nd most listened to the rapper on the platform after Doja Cat, who currently has over 55 million monthly listeners.
Ed Sheeran has the most monthly Spotify listeners for a male artist as of July 2022, while Dua Lipa has the most monthly Spotify listeners for a female artist. Ariana Grande is the most-followed female artist, and Ed Sheeran is the most-followed male musician. Since 2013, Spotify has produced an annual list of its most-streamed artists, which Drake has topped three times in a row.
