Eminem's Curtain Call & Dr. Dre's 2001 Among Billboard 200's Top 10 Albums This Week

Eminem and Dr. Dre ranked in the top 10 on Billboard 200 chart this week.

Eminem and Dr. Dre joined forces for a historical Super Bowl Halftime show with Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent. The artists at the show saw the effect on their music streaming following the Super Bowl, and it gets Eminem and Dre among the Top 10 on Billboard 200 chart this week.

According to Chart Data, Eminem’s “Curtain Call: The Hits” compilation moved 31,000 units this week, and it ranked at #7 on the chart this week. The next on the list is Dr. Dre with his “2001” album, as it moved 30,000 units this week after the Super Bowl show.

Kendrick Lamar’s “good kid, m.A.A.d city” which was dropped in 2012, also moved around 20,000 units this week. The legendary Tupac’s music also saw a rise as his “Greatest Hits” sold 19,000 copies this week.

Another significant gainer on the list is Mary J. Blige, whose new album “Good Morning Gorgeous” debuted at No. 14 on the Hits Top 50, right between YoungBoy NBA and Taylor Swift. Her record sold over 25,000 copies, and this time hard copies outperformed streaming services since they were available to the general public.

In March 2022, the album received quintuple platinum certification in New Zealand and diamond certification in the United States. Numerous lists, such as the US Billboard 200 and UK Albums Chart, ranked it first.

The follow-up album called Curtain Call 2 including songs from his subsequent work was revealed by Eminem released on August 5, 2022.

Just the other day, Eminem’s 2005’s greatest hits compilation album “Curtain Call: The Hits” made history in the UK as it became the first hip-hop album to spent 500 weeks on the album charts. Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s “Still D.R.E.” which was performed at the event, surpassed 1 Billion views on the music video on youtube. This week was iconic for the legendary producer, and he celebrated his 27th birthday yesterday.
