Eminem ranked as the No. 1 Most-Streamed artist.

The Legendary Detroit rapper Eminem keeps his numbers & records going strong. According to Spotify’s Data of August 10, Eminem is the most-streamed artist of the Pre-2000 Era.

The numbers are pretty strong and almost three times higher than Michael Jackson’s. Elton John, Bob Marley, and Jay-Z also on the Top Five list.

Eminem is the oldest artist on Spotify’s end-of-decade list, at 47 years old. His career has extended more than two decades, and he recently issued a 20th-anniversary edition of The Slim Shady LP, his major-label debut. With two consecutive diamond albums under his belt, Eminem is the best-selling rapper of all time and the best-selling artist of the 2000s in the United States. He is, however, a relic from the CD era, when big record sales were still uncommon, but not unfathomable as they are now.

With the exception of 2017’s gold-certified Revival, Eminem has continued to thrive commercially throughout the last decade, with each of his studio albums topping the charts and achieving platinum certifications. His critical reception, on the other hand, has been less favorable. Since his comeback album Relapse in 2009, Eminem’s newer work has been panned as superficial and out of touch with current hip-hop trends. Rap’s erstwhile provocateur-in-chief had turned into a snobby purist, deriding newer rappers who he believes are disrespectful of the craft and the genre’s history.
