Drake Responds To 'Rich Flex' Memes On Him I've Always Been Able To Laugh At Myself

Drake finally addresses the Rich Flex viral memes.

When Drake released his recent collab album “Her Loss” with 21 Savage, the rapper went viral for his lyrics on the song titled “Rich Flex”. “21, can you do somethin’ for me? Can you hit a lil’ rich flex for me?” he raps in one line, which was used in memes online, and showed Drizzy as a feminine figure.

Now in a new Q&A session with online casino stake, the Toronto rap star responded to the jokes about him on social media. “We were out last night at this spot, and this girl was like, it was loud and she was drunk, but she was like, ‘How does it feel that everyone’s always making fun of you? I wouldn’t be able to take it,’” said Drake. “But she was talking about memes because ‘Rich Flex’ was on. You know, the song off Her Loss.

“I was just like, you know, I understand after all these years that, I feel like I have a polarizing presence. I’m almost a character in people’s movies and therefore there’s a running a dialogue. There’s jokes, you’re either the villain to some people or hero to some people,” he said. “It is what it is, it just comes with the territory. As you grow and [achieve] success, you also grow and split opinion and you grow in all different ways.”

He continued, “But ultimately, I’ve just found a way. I’ve always been able to laugh at myself, but I really do feel now that I mentally am able to separate the two. So I just want to stay in that zone, that’s kinda my resolution. I feel really good right now.”

Since its release, the song has been the top-streamed rap song on global Spotify every week, and it peaked and debuted at #2 on Billboard Hot 100.

“Rich Flex,” produced by Vinylz, Tay Keith, FnZ, and BoogzDaBeast, is Her Loss’ highest-charting single, landing at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The music also hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Canadian Hot 100 and No. 3 on the UK Singles Chart.

Drake and 21 Savage earlier confessed they assisted compose each other’s rhymes on Her Loss, however they won’t reveal which lyrics.
