Diddy & Jermaine Dupri Are Ready For A Hit For Hit Battle In Atlanta

Diddy is ready to go against Jermaine Dupri.

Jermaine Dupri has been calling out Diddy for a Verzuz battle since last year, and the producer finally gets his wish. While the Verzuz founders Timbaland and Swizz Beatz are in the middle of a legal battle with the video-sharing social networking service Triller over unpaid payment, Diddy is ready for a hit for hit battle in Atlanta.

Back in 2020, Jermaine Dupri said that if Diddy accepted his Verzuz challenge, he and Dupri would “break the internet,” but Diddy responded by saying that “Dupri didn’t have enough hits.”

Diddy recently invited Dupri on his IG live stream, where the discussion of a battle pop up. “J.D., if you want that smoke, you can get that smoke anytime,” said Diddy to which Dupri told him to “relax”.

Given the importance of So So Def, it was preposterous, and after a few back-and-forth discussions throughout 2021, we’re talking about it again. Diddy has been discussing the state of R&B on Instagram Live with a number of his well-known friends, including Mary J. Blige, Timbaland, and Tory Lanez. A contentious argument with Dupri was thrown into the mix.

Diddy continued, “Since we ain’t f**kin’ around with Verzuz no more since because they f**kin’ around with our boys, we don’t need to be going against each other. Let’s come together and do that Bad Boy, So So Def in Atlanta… It ain’t no Verzuz, it’s just hit for hit.”

Back in September last year, Dupri posted a message for Diddy which said: “Somebody let @Diddy know I’m @thegarden right now ! And he gon need some training for me.” The Bad Boy founder denied the challange, saying he doesn’t have enough hits. “Beloved you my ni**a but your arms too short to box with God!!! You aiint got enough hits. I’ll smash you with just biggie n Mary . But I do have the upmost respect on you as a musical legend,” wrote Diddy.
