Diddy's Dream Finally Came True As He Had Studio Session With Dr. Dre

Dr. Dre and Diddy chops it up in the studio together.

Diddy is one of the biggest names in hip-hop and has worked with many other greats in the game. However, it was one person that he had dreamed of working with, and it finally came true. The Bad Boy mogul shares pictures of him working in the studio with the legendary Dr. Dre.

“Yesterday, one of my biggest dreams finally came true I remember the first time I heard @DrDre’s production,” he wrote. “It gave me clear direction on the level of Producer that I wanted to be. Last night, I got the chance to work with this man and to see his genius as he coached me through vocals.”

Of course, Dr. Dre’s solo album has long been anticipated by fans. After Snoop posted a selfie of himself and Dre in the studio in March with the statement, “The Chronic is bac home,” interest in the project reached a fever pitch. In the backdrop, a tracklist for Dr. Dre’s eagerly anticipated follow-up to his 1999 album, 2001, called Detox was spotted by a sharp-eyed Twitter user.

In recent months, Dre has been seen participating in a number of studio sessions, including two with Kanye West. Additionally, he contributed to DJ Khaled’s God Did album by working on the remix of Ye’s “Use This Gospel” with Eminem. Regarding the collaboration, Khaled remarked, “Look, produced by Dr. Dre & ICU, this is a gift, this is a gift from Kanye, Dre, and Eminem. This is a gift, not just to me, to the world.”

He continued, “He reminded me of myself, but with a different style and way more focused. I gotta step my focus up! lol But it was a great experience and I thank God for it. I hope one day ya’ll get to have the same experience with someone that you always looked up to as a hero.”

Diddy’s team told HipHopDx that they did new music for the upcoming Dre’s album with Snoop Dogg. “The two music moguls came together to collaborate for Dr. Dre’s highly anticipated upcoming album with Snoop Dogg, who was also in attendance. Producing with Dr. Dre has been a long-time dream for Mr. [Sean] Combs and the night was made even more special as he coached him through vocals.”

Diddy previously stated that the only person he would do a Verzuz against is “The Chronic” mogul. “Only person I would do is dre,” he said.
