Bow Wow Plans To Retire From Music With Final Album Through Snoop Dogg's Death Row Label

Bow Wow to link up with Snoop Dogg’s Death Row label for his final album.

Bow Wow hasn’t released much new material in the past decade, and the rapper previously showed the desire to retire from music, but he was stopped by Snoop Dogg. Bow Wow recently revealed that he’s now working on his final album after being urged by Uncle Snoop.

“Snoop told me no way you can retire before me,” he wrote last month. “You owe us one more. Speak on all the real sh*t that we wanna know you been going through. Put it song and watch it flourish. – nuff said unc! #lastone.”

Now the rapper whose career began with being discovered by Snoop Dogg in the 1990s now wants to end it with the Long Beach legend on the newly acquired Death Row Label. “Spoke to snoop last week. Very soon,” he said in a Twitter Q&A. “My plan is to put my final album on death row and close my music career out where it began. I’m tryna do the d wade and come home and close it out.”

Obviously, Bow Wow’s desire to collaborate with Death Row in 2022 is not coincidental. Snoop acquired the brand from MNRK Music Group, formerly known as eOne Music, which was purchased by Hasbro in 2019 for $4 billion. “I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value,” Snoop said in a statement. “It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members.”

In a previous interview on Hot 97, he told Ebro that his album is called “Before 30”, and it will be narrated by Snoop Dogg. “I’ma do one more album. It’s gonna be the last one and it’s gonna be called Before 30, and I’ma have Snoop narrate the whole thing,” he said.
