Barack Obama Shares 2021 Summer Playlist Feat. J. Cole, Drake, Jay-Z & More

Drake, Rihanna, Jay-Z, and more feature in the Summer 2021 Playlist of Barack Obama.

The Former US President Barack Obama has always shown love to the music and also shares his favorite records he listens to, and once again, he’s back with a new collection of tracks which is called 2021 Summer Playlist. In the new playlist, Obama has picked some of the current music as well as older classics.

With so many folks getting together with family and friends, there’s a lot to celebrate this summer. Here’s a playlist of songs I’ve been listening to lately—it’s a mix of old and new, household names and emerging artists, and a whole lot in between,” Barack wrote on his Twitter.

The playlist includes Rihanna’s “Desperado“, Migos’ latest single “Straightenin“, Silk Sonic’s “Leave The Door Open“, Jay-Z’s “Allure“, J. Cole’s “Neighbors“, SZA’s “Good Days“, Drake & Lil Baby’s “Wants and Needs” and many more hits.

Obama has managed to compile playlists that feature a diverse range of musicians from many genres over the years. He definitely likes hip hop and classic R&B, but he also enjoys Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, and Joni Mitchell. Obama’s playlists appear to constantly appeal to people from diverse backgrounds, similar to how he appealed to voters from various backgrounds in 2008 and 2012. They never veer too far in one way musically.

The playlist features timeless tunes like Stevie Wonder’s “If You Really Love Me,” Bob Marley and The Wailers’ “Exodus,” and Bob Dylan’s “I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight.”

Billie Eilish, Maggie Rogers, Common, John Legend, and Leon Bridge, as well as Megan Thee Stallion, Frank Ocean, and Bob Dylan, were on Obama’s playlist last year. When Obama was in the White House, he also posted his favourite playlists to offer his supporters an idea of what music they would like listening to throughout the summer.

Last year before the release of his book “A Promise Land”, Obama shared a playlist of some memorable songs, including Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” and Jay-Z’s “My 1st Songs”.

Cardi B expresses her congratulation to Migos after being in Obama’s playlist.
