50 Cent Says Grammy Acknowledged him only because of Eminem

50 Cent Talks About Pop Smoke, Grammy Snubbed, Eminem, and Dr. Dre.

As you may know, 50 Cent was an executive producer on Pop Smoke’s posthumous album “Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon,” and the King of New York believes the album will be overlooked at the Grammy Awards in 2021. The Superstar behind the music for Pop Smoke’s posthumous album “Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon”, 50 Cent did an interview session with Rapcaviar where he talks about GRAMMYs will not recognize Pop Smoke’s album and the album might get snubbed at the upcoming 2021 Grammy Awards.

While talking about Grammy awards, he also says how Eminem and Dr. Dre mention in the music gave him his first grammy. He says, “If the album is recognized, it will only get recognized because Pop Smoke is gone. The content is similar to what I would do. They did not recognize mine. They gave me Grammys when I was with Em when I am on records with Eminem.

50 Cent has received 14 Grammy nominations, but his only win came in 2010 for Eminem’s “Crack a Bottle,” which also features Dr. Dre. Throughout his career, Fifty has been nominated for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, and Best New Artist, but has never won. “They are afraid to give Pop Smoke Grammys because they think it is teaching the audience to want to be like Pop. And to be like him is to be a part of gang culture. Who you see get Grammys that is making Drill music? You mean to tell me ain’t none of those songs worthy of it? Those platforms are not for them to acknowledge. It is for the culture, the people to embrace those tones and to really appreciate the artist for doing that.” 50 Cent added.

The Grammy nominations for the 2021 Grammy Awards were announced yesterday, and Royce Da 5’9′′ was nominated for Best Rap Album with Nas’ “Kings Disease,” D’Smoke’s “Black Habits,” Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist’s “Alfredo,” and Jay Electronica’s “A Written Testimony.” Pop Smoke’s album did not receive a nomination, as 50 Cent predicted, however, his track “Dior” from that album was nominated for Best Rap Performance.

In the case of Eminem, he has been nominated 44 times and has won 15 of them. Not only did 50 Cent Calls out to the Grammy but Weeknd did too. Following his widely publicized snub at the Grammys in 2021, The Weeknd has chosen to boycott the awards show in the future. The R&B superstar was a strong contender in the Big Four categories, including album of the year for his fourth studio album After Hours, which spent four weeks at the top of the Billboard 200, as well as record of the year and song of the year for his smash hit “Blinding Lights,” which broke Billboard chart records.

Weezy followed in Zayn’s clear footsteps and sent a “F– the Grammys” tweet just one day after the 2021 Grammy Awards. He, on the other hand, took his most recent shutout quite seriously. On social media in December, the five-time Grammy winner pondered why he wasn’t invited or nominated for the 2021 celebration.

Funeral, Weezy’s 13th studio album, was not nominated in the general or rap categories during the 2021 nomination announcement, although it did earn a nod for best recording package, which went to art director Kyle Goen, not Weezy.
