Royce Da 5'9 & Lupe Fiasco Takes Shots At Each Other In New Songs

Royce Da 5’9″ and Lupe Fiasco target each other with new songs.

Royce 5’9′′ and Lupe Fiasco have converted their verbal spat into a musical one, with each artist dishing out diss tracks and putting their disagreements to the forefront. Recently, Royce Da 5’9″ and Lupe Fiasco participated in an Instagram live stream which also had Loaded Lux, Murda Mook, Mickey Factz, and Young Guru. The things between the duo got heated when Royce mentions RJ Payne’s tweets and asks who is the best rapper. Lupe Fiasco responds and said that he doesn’t think that Royce is the best.

Lupe got on his own Live session after getting off the IG Live with Royce, Mickey, and Guru and dove into a 15-minute freestyle to show off his abilities. He had been encouraging his fellow MCs to really rap rather than speak about rap during earlier IG Live sessions, and he took matters into his own hands this time, going off the top of his head with the type of craft that many MCs would love to compose.

Now Royce Da 5’9″ comes with a new song called “Silence of the Lambda” in which he targets his podcast partner Lupe. The 7-minute song features over 1400 words. “1,430 words. Free of charge…. 🤞🏿 Next time… It’s gon cost you dearly 🌹,” Royce wrote on his IG. “Loaded Lux said if we battle then he gon’ sit with Lu, I told him you’re dead if we battle then who gon’ sit with you,” Royce raps in the song.

Lupe Fiasco quickly responds to Royce as he drops a new song on his Instagram which is titled “Steve Jobs”. He first teased the short 2-minute song, in which he was rapping the latest Royce’s song, then brought up Royce being against the black people getting vaccinated. Now Lupe Fiasco has dropped the full version which is a 6-minute long track.

I think that ni**a scared, he never leave Heaven cause he already dead/Ni**a are you insane?/What’s the point in knowing how to point and aim/If the ni**as you gon’ bang look exactly the same/That ain’t muthaf**kin’ cool/That’s a muthaf**kin’ shame/This ain’t no muthaf**kin’ game/That’s why I think you are a muthaf**kin’ lame/We both wear glasses/The difference is I was in school thinking it was cool, you were thinking of skipping classes,” he raps on the six-minute song.

The two rap veterans have been at odds since a chat they had on Instagram Live in June over what traits and qualifications are necessary to be considered the finest rapper. While Lupe stated that a rapper must win the End of the Weak MC Challenge, Royce expressed his dissatisfaction with his co-judgment. host’s
