Papoose Pays Homage To DMX, Young Dolph, Virgil Abloh & More On New Song Obituary 2021

Papoose remembers lost souls on “Obituary 2021”.

Papoose continues his series of paying tribute to all the passed away celebrities at the end of every year as he released a brand new track called “Obituary 2021”. The track comes as part of his new project “December”.

On the new song, Papoose remembers and pays homage to the likes of DMX, Young Dolph, Biz Markie, Betty White, Virgil Abloh, Larry King and more.

“As we travel into this new year! We must not forget; those who weren’t fortunate enough to continue along with us. May all these amazing people Rest In Peace. Condolences to their families. I’ve been doing these annual obituaries since 2006. It’s always a sad process for me! Because some of them I actually know. And had relationships with. Others just had an amazing impact on my life through their talent. Also, today is the day my grandmother passed away. The amazing Queen who gave me my name. RIP Vivian Strong,” he wrote on IG.

Mad Skillz and Uncle Murda each release “Rap Up” freestyles every January 1st, in which they reflect on the previous 12 months. Both rappers reminisced on the dramatic headlines that dominated 2021, such as the Capitol Riots and the Astroworld Festival, as well as paying respect to the superstars that passed away that year. Pap, on the other hand, makes a determined effort to remember people who have passed away, and this year is no exception.
